Welcome!

Hello, I’m Dr. Mary Clare Lindsley, a licensed psychologist offering virtual therapy throughout Minnesota.

I believe that it’s okay to be imperfect, and this perspective shapes how I work with my clients. My goal is to help people build fulfilling lives by embracing their imperfections rather than seeing them as obstacles. By accepting ourselves as we are, we create space for joy, happiness, and contentment—no matter what’s going on around us. And, importantly, this mindset also allows us to tolerate and make sense of difficult emotions when life feels challenging.

I’m passionate about the power of learning to have a kinder relationship with your body, including its physical sensations, emotional responses, and thoughts. Too often, we view our feelings and experiences as “wrong” or something to fix, but they can actually offer valuable insights and guide us toward growth.

My theoretical orientation to therapy is rooted in mindfulness-based psychotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and various somatic approaches, including polyvagal theory and sensorimotor psychotherapy.

In my free time, I love to read, knit, bake, hike, dance, and travel. I find meaning by noticing beauty in nature, creating special moments for family and friends (usually involving food), and having good, sometimes hard, conversations with people.

If you’re looking for a supportive therapist to help navigate life’s challenges with compassion and insight, I’d love to work with you.
